On 20 March 2026 Skål International Wien celebrated its 90th anniversary with a festive event at the Hotel InterContinental Vienna. Numerous distinguished guests and Skål members from Austria and abroad accepted the invitation, making the evening a special highlight in the tourism calendar.

A total of approximately 80 international guests from five nations, as well as representatives from Skål Clubs throughout Austria, attended the celebration. Among those present were numerous Presidents and two former World Presidents of Skål International, Hulya Aslantas and Birger Bäckman, who lent the anniversary a particularly dignified and international atmosphere.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Skål Tourism Award to Dr. Martin Schick of Schick Hotels Vienna. Ms. Susanne Kraus Winkler emphasized Dr. Schick's outstanding achievements in her laudatory speech. Furthermore, three members of the Skål Club Wien were honored by Honorary President Mario Rehulka for their impressive 50 years of membership in the network – a remarkable testament to their long-standing commitment and genuine international friendship.

President of Skål International Wien, Christian Böhm, and President of Skål International Austria, Sylvia Liebisch, accepted numerous gifts and awards from affiliated national and international clubs during the celebrations. This impressively underscored the close ties within the Skål community.

The event not only provided an opportunity for professional exchange and the cultivation of international contacts but also impressed with its stylish ambiance. An exquisite buffet delighted guests with culinary highlights, while musical performances created a festive yet lively atmosphere.
