As we approach the conclusion of the first quarter of the year, I am truly inspired by the momentum and progress we are achieving together. The Shaping Tomorrow initiative is well underway, and I am pleased to share that we are actively building strategic alliances with key partners across the tourism industry, including international organizations, airlines, and leading hotel groups.

At the same time, we are undertaking an important review of our Statutes and By-laws to ensure that our organization continues to evolve with purpose and relevance. Our Committees are working diligently and with great commitment to deliver on their 2026 objectives, demonstrating the strength and dedication that define Skål International.

In my recent interactions with Skålleagues around the world, I have made it a priority to listen—carefully and respectfully—to your insights, whether positive or constructive. These conversations are invaluable. They allow us not only to address questions and clarify direction, but also to guide members in maximizing the tools and resources available to them, including our training modules, podcasts, and digital platforms.

The 2026 Executive Board is fully aware of the responsibilities ahead, and I am proud of the extraordinary effort our Board of Directors is making. Their leadership across Committees, along with their continuous engagement with Clubs and members in their respective regions, reflects a unified message rooted in friendship, collaboration, and active listening.

I would also like to warmly encourage you to register for our upcoming World Congress. This year’s theme,

“Leading Tomorrow for Tourism with Friendship and Leadership,”

captures the spirit of what we are building together. We are preparing a truly exceptional program featuring distinguished speakers, dynamic workshops, and, most importantly, meaningful opportunities to strengthen the bonds that unite us as Skålleagues.
