In 2025, the Skål International Executive Board undertook an initiative to develop the Shaping Tomorrow strategy, aimed at creating a leaner organisational structure, enhancing governance and operational efficiency, and strengthening the international prestige of the Association.
The results of the strategy work were presented at the Annual General Assembly in Cusco (Peru), organised around eight core themes:

Events
A total of 28 recommendations were developed across these eight themes, providing the foundation for transforming the strategy into a clear, actionable plan for the future aimed at:
Clarify roles and streamline governance.
Build capacity through people, partnerships, and resources.
Deliver value to members and achieve sustainable growth.
Refresh the brand and modernise communication.
Leverage technology and events for global impact.
Work in progress:
The 2026 Executive Board has developed the Roadmap for the year, identified the key issues to be addressed, and assigned actions to the Directors according to their portfolios, as well as to the General Secretariat team. A comprehensive table has been created to track each action, including assigned responsibilities, timelines, and progress.
