National Tourism Awards Celebrate Spain’s Leading Destinations and Companies

The Awards honor twelve entities and destinations that exemplify Spain’s position as a global tourism leader.

The jury for the 2025 National Tourism Awards has announced the results of its inaugural edition, presenting twelve awards that recognise excellence, innovation, and the dedication of those who make Spanish tourism an international benchmark. This initiative, led by the Spanish Federation of Tourism Journalists and Writers (FEPET) in collaboration with Lassart Tourism, creates a platform to celebrate the achievements of the national tourism sector.

The Sustainability Award was presented to Skål International. The global professional organisation, founded in 1934, was recognised for its commitment to responsible tourism, promoting sustainable practices that balance economic growth, environmental preservation, and social benefit. Its ability to unite a professional community dedicated to continuous improvement and respect for destinations, local communities, and the environment stands as an inspiring example for the industry.

The award was presented at the Skål International stand during FITUR Madrid 2026, in a ceremony attended by World President Andrés Hayes and Director José Luis Quintero, who received the Award from FEPET President Karmen Garrido and Award Jury President Ricardo Megías. Francisco Rivero, the visionary behind the initiative and also a jury member, proudly joined the celebration, further highlighting the significance of this achievement for the sector.
