Skål International London Celebrates 50 Years!
On October 14, 2025, members and guests gathered at the Ronald D. Schmeichel Building for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Western University to celebrate 50 years of friendship, fellowship, and tourism leadership. It was a memorable evening filled with camaraderie, inspiring connections, and heartfelt appreciation for our members, partners, and industry friends who have supported Skål International London over the decades.
A special thank-you to Skål member and host Cliff Fielder, Executive Chef Kristian Crossen, and the banquet staff for a truly exceptional dining experience — and to everyone who made this milestone celebration one to remember. We also extend our gratitude to members from Skål International Hamilton-Niagara and Skål International Toronto who made our evening even more special. We were truly honoured to have Skål International Canada President, Susan Wilkinson, join us in support of our celebration.
Members and guests were also touched by the special messages from Skål World President 2025 Denise Scrafton, Skål International Winnipeg President Lilian Tankard and Mayor Josh Morgan. To our special guests from London Police Service, CTV London, and Virgin Radio London — thank you for being there and celebrating with us. Entertainment by member Rob Aitken (Music Central Entertainment) and Justin Maki.

Skål International London November Dinner
What an incredible night at Fanshawe College! Our members and guests enjoyed a beautiful farm-to-table dining experience crafted by the amazing Hospitality & Tourism students and their instructors.

We were proud to present two bursaries for the Jack Docherty Memorial Award — congratulations to Stephanie Yao and Nic Facchin!

Skål International London Christmas Gala & Silent Auction
Skål International London members and guests enjoyed a fun and festive evening at our Christmas Gala & Silent Auction, held on December 9 at the DoubleTree by Hilton London.
A heartfelt thank you to Skål member George Thomas, Director of Rooms Division, and the Culinary Team for their warm hospitality and an exceptional festive dining experience. Guests were treated to a scrumptious four-course meal, specially created by Chef Lesley, which was truly a highlight of the evening.
The night also provided a wonderful opportunity to officially welcome the newest members of the Skål family: Angela Hawkins, Marketing Director, Western Fair District; Larry Verestiuk, Associate Dean, School of Hospitality & London South Campus; Alon Gurman, Inn Manager, Elmhurst Inn & Spa; Melissa Wehrman, Director of Sales, Comfort Suites London; Lina Merchant, Director of Sales, Hard Rock Hotel London.
